Yangzhou University (Yangzhou University), founded in 1902, is located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a University jointly built by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education. It is a key comprehensive University in Jiangsu Province, and one of the top 100 provincial universities supported by the construction plan of Jiangsu High-level University. Member of Jiangsu - Macao - Portuguese-speaking Countries University Cooperation Alliance and Jiangsu - UK 20+20 High-Level University Cooperation Alliance. Yangzhou University was originally founded by Zhang Jian in 1902 as Tongzhou Normal School and Tonghai Peasant School. In November 1981, with the approval of the State Council, the University became one of the first batch of institutions granting doctor's and master's degrees in China. In 1992, six colleges united to form Yangzhou University.
